Experience Some Local History From The Past In Our Holiday Apartments, Welcome to the Moselle Region The Place We Have Made Our Home
We would like to welcome you to Zur Alten Weinkelter and the Moselle wine-producing village of Ellenz.
We are Maria Wilson-Ryan and Michael Wilson originally from London England, however, since 2010 we are proud to have made Zur Alten Weinkelter our home.
With more than 20 years experience in the historic interior design, food service and hospitality industries, we decided to embark on a variety of projects where we have had the pleasure in owning and restoring other historic buildings both in England and here in Germany.
Our current home, Zur Alten Weinkelter is aimed at offering a quite and adult-only retreat where the emphasis is on peace, enjoyment, relaxation and spending that all-important time together.
We have four well-equipped self-catering studio apartments with all you need for a comfortable memorable stay.
There is also a wine terrace to enjoy some relaxing outside space during the fine weather.
In the evening at selected times throughout the year we have our traditional wine cellar open for our guests, and being totally independent we are happy to offer you our selection of wines and liqueurs from the regions local producers.
The wine-producing village of ellenz is located along the Moselle river between the towns of Koblenz and Trier, with Cochem and Zell only a few kilometres away an ideal location to explore this part of the Moselle Valley,
Zur Alten Weinkelter the building is around 500 years old and is an important example of the late gothic historical heritage of this area of the Moselle Valley.
The building is listed and a protected historical monument and it will be our pleasure to share it with you.
