"Join us and our neighbours to sample some of the best wines in the world. See how the wine is made at first hand. Walk through the vines and feel the culture and last but not least take the wines home to remember your visit. The truth is the best wines are made and stay in Germany, come and see for yourself"

Our late Gothic house lies in the beautiful wine village of Ellenz just 8 Kilometres from Cochem along the Moselweinstrasse. Dating back to 1623 the house is a protected property known as "denkmal" and is as an important historical building . During its lifetime the house has seen many uses, amongst these include the residence for the Elector of Trier, A Wnepress (Weinkelter) and now as a holiday home .The house boasts many original features which have been sympathetically preserved whilst creating four comfortably equiped holiday apartments . The vaulted celler is being transformed into a comfortable residents only lounge which will be stocked with the best local wines . The plaque which is included on the rolling display on the right is prominently displayed on the wall of the house as testament to its rich history. During recent renovations in the Kerner apartment some water colour wall decorations were uncovered from circa 1790-1810. These have been confirmed as being French in origin dating back to the time when this part of the Mosel was under French influennce. More details and pictures can be seen under the Kerner section in the property page.
