"Zur Alten Weinkelter" is a very special time. A time for gatherings of friends, families. We are open for the whole season so if you just want to visit the amazing Christmas markets or you would like to arrange a family get together, we can help make your Christmas or New Year celebration extra special. In our private lounge you can relax and share great evenings with all the family, that special time together. The Mosel has the most amazing scenery even in the winter, the low mists in the valley and the sleeping vines are magical,
an experience not to miss.
Our cellar lounge will be stocked with all your Christmas and new year favourites, from mulled wine to "Christstollen" cakes and lots of chocolates and cinnamon biscuits for the whole family to enjoy. Not forgetting a great selection of Mosel wines to bring that extra christmas cheer!

One the most famous events in Germany are the legendary Christmas markets. They are without exception an amazing experience and we are fortunate to be located within easy reach of some of the best markets . The Christmas market in Trier, which is Germanys oldest town is without doubt one of the best. There around 100 stalls which sell all the best christmas has to offer. These are located in the town centre against the backdrop of the historic town. There are many shops, restaurants and churches to help make your visit that little bit extra special. "Zur Alten Weinkelter" is less than one hour away from Trier. A visit here is the ideal way to soak up all that is best about Christmas and the festive season.
